This weekend I managed to put the main assembly groups together. Unfortunately the very first step was the most frustrating for me: The majority of the print parts are made for screws with dimensions following the imperial system. Hence the nut traps will also only hold those screws well. The official workaround to use metric screws in this machine is to chuck a small screwdriver in the nut trap, but when you do tht with the current version of the foot (last updated in 2018), odds are good that you crack the plastic because it increases lateral stress against a rather fragile screw hole.
Right now I consider making my own, reinforced version that works with metric nuts. If I end up doing so, I’ll write a post here and upload it to thingiverse
