BenchMW

Rusting away with a hole in the floor – my memory of a car that slowly decayed at my parents’ place when I was a child. When it was finally scrapped, I kept the backseats and made a bench from them. Ironically, now I might get to sit on it longer than my older siblings.

I used the opportunity to introduce a feature to the bench that it did not have when it was still in use on the road: Now you can tilt the lean and relax like a queen.

I love the industrial charme of the exposed construction, so I left it uncovered – It’s messy, but magnificient! Today such seats have foam cores, but here it’s still all steel-springs and organic fibers, cocohusk I believe.
